Fighting "OLDMAN" Winter just to RIDE!

Fighting "Old Man" Winter just to Ride!

Got through this morning ride in with no hassles of being "COLD" say per say .

Today's gear change up, took a little longer to get ready for departure, but yet knowing that I'd be a heck of a lot better protected against the elements as I so was not yesterday was such a calming feeling to me.

Today I added in my gear another slim Flannel Spec ops jacket I have and for my hands I added a pair of believe it or not "Rubber Gloves" bright freaking Orange too no less.

Here's why the additional gear was needed we left out yesterday at 6:15am, and it was 56 degree's, now riding you'd think that was pretty comfortable until you actually got going and the freezing cold air starts hitting you in places you'd wished you'd covered better.

Today's venture, started in 46 degrees a 10 degree difference from yesterday morning, and called for the extra protection because, frankly yesterday I froze my ass off riding, not really, but it took several hours for me to regain the feeling in my finger tips, and man that cold kicked my "Backs" ass as my back hates cold weather, but the wife needs to get to the mouse house some how and we only have one mode of transportation so we deal.
Crazy you say?, try this on:

Start with boxer briefs, add, warm thermal long johns top and bottoms, followed by Under armor long tall support socks, then add another layer of thermal protection this time military issued Kevlar thinsulate top and bottoms, then a full long sleeve Tactical 5.1 dress shirt, then 5.1 tact pants, followed by my Rain Pants bottoms only for extra wind protection, then my spec ops flannel jacket, then my hoody, then, my turtle neck protector, then my nyoprime face mask, then my goggles, then my helmet, then my riding jacket, then my gloves, then the big rubber gloves I had to put over my riding gloves to seal out the wind. Once you have all that on, your ready to ride in 46 degrees no worries, I stayed perfectly warm this morning, yesterday not so much.

Yes it gets cold here in Florida too, this is why I have all this gear, to stay protected.

POPSICLE RIDE IN THIS MORNING!

"POPSICLE" RIDE IN THIS MORNING!

For Starters, when we got ready to leave out this morning for our daily trek into the mouse house , it was a very brisk 56 degrees outside with winds that would of sliced right threw you if you stood still long enough. Now this fall out is from, you guessed it "Hurricane Sandy" which skirted us and is looking like hitting directly into New York and the Tri- state area, but while doing so, she's throwing huge amounts of southerly breezes our way, which is blowing the cold air straight out of the north to us, so we're getting slammed with very cold, cold air.
Today's High temp is only expected to reach 70, and tonight's lows are in the mid to upper 40's which sucks for us , because we have to get up, and do it all over again tomorrow morning yuck!
Yet, this is the Biker lifestyle, and if you want to live it, you have to ride it, and that is what it's all about. I rode out in double thermals along with full dress leathers and my vest, I was perfect riding this morning except my hands were frozen about ten minutes into the ride, as I have to get better gloves, these ones breathe too much, and my fingers go numb quick, so anyone out there with a great cold weather glove idea? please feel free to chime in, as I'm outta idea's and please no smart asses with "Stop riding in the cold", that's not an option.

Woke by the sounds of "CRASH" Again.

Woke by the sounds of "CRASH" once again.

You know when you in that part of sleep where nothing and I mean nothing should be waking you at all? Well this morning that so wasn't the case. This mornings sleep was interrupted with the sounds of "CRASH", this is my new title for my next door neighbors daughter who hit my bike about four weeks ago, and just now slammed into my other neighbor while he was pulling in she was pulling out and mix old timer with new driver and what do you get? and alarm clock no one wants to wake too that is for sure.

I at first wanted to run right out there and assist, but I also didn't want her to know that she did it again, poor girl, she ought to give up driving for a little while and let her mother drive her everywhere such as she did before.

I can't imagine this young ladies insurance company is to happy with her. I know if I were them she'd been cancelled already.

Too funny to jump out of bed with a fresh topic to write about, but she provides such entertainment, the wife simply said thank "GOD" she didn't hit your bike again, and I told the wife yep she's very lucky she didn't do that.
I told my neighbors mother my new nick name for her daughter is "CRASH", she said that's probably going to make her cry and I said, maybe it will make her pay attention if she gets labeled? I don't know but geez already.

Today Starts the H.O.G. State Rally up in Howey, so everyone please ride safe see you there.

BURRRRR! This wind blowing this morning is cold!

BURRRRRR! This wind Blowing this morning is cold!

Be Careful riding this morning folk's, as it's a cold one out there, the winds from yesterday continue but yet the skies are clear for now, they say we're gonna get hit again with rain from the otter Bands of Hurricane "SANDY", but from what we've seen inland, we got a "PASS" from mother nature once more, whew!.

With this "COLD" weather brings a multitude of problems for me health wise as my "BACK" absolutely hates this kind of weather, cold frigid days are not what guys like me are made for as, "BACK ISSUES" suck even worse when you throw in the "COLD" factor.

Needless to say, the benefit rides the wife and I wanted to attend today are now canceled, as I can not even move this morning. Sorry guys, but you know how my back gets, sometimes it co-operates and sometimes it does not.

So back into the nest I go for the day, Ride Safe everyone.

Hurricane "SANDY" Huff's and Puff's but leave Florida unscaved.

Hurricane "SANDY" Huff's and Puff's but leaves Florida Unscathed.

Beautiful sunny skies inland here at central Florida, even though tthe coast right now is getting hit with major rip currents and some storms brewing off to the east for the most part today's been just another wonderful day here in Orlando. We've expect high winds and they were currect , but I made a run out to "DONUT KING" this morning for Breakfest and it really wasn't that bad. I look forward to it being "Friday Night" and here in Florida  that and riding bring great things.

Everyone please enjoy your weekends, and please be safe out there.

A Bikers Guide to great food in Clermont Florida Second release.

A Bikers Guide to great food in Clermont Second release.

Just had to have door service or take out as most of us call it, but door service seems to have such a neato ring to it does it not?

Regardless, we couldn't make it out tonight due to the fat that "SANDY" is spitting showers all over us right now and the wind is quite another story, but we're just catching outer bands of the Storm and not feeling the full intensity of it as of yet.

With that being said no cruising tonight leads us to that age old question what's for dinner and yep this one place came to mind tonight right off the bat, it's so close to our place we could of walked to go pick it up, but delivery is so much nicer. This place has some of the best food on the planet, the chef's there really know what they are doing. Crowd pleaser's like, fresh blue cheese dressing for the salads, and then there is the Pizza &main courses, which all all, very, very excellent, but Colleen and I had pasta tonight, I had the veal, and she the chicken, My Veal was so amazing it almost brought tears to my eyes remembering how my moms was a lot the same way, God Rest Her Soul, she made it the best and these guys are a close second, now the wife she had the Alfredo Chicken and Broccoli and wow that too was amazing.
Fine Dining food at reality prices, thanks again guys for such a wonderful meal.

"A TASTE OF ITALY"
"DIROMIO'S" Pizza & Grill

So if you're hungry and are looking for great food this is the place dine in or delivery you can not go wrong. Love it, Love it, Love it!

Now today is a Great Riding day.....

Wow! what a fantastic day for a ride here in Clermont Florida, so tempting the urge to play hooky when the weather outside is like this, but really this is the time of year all bikers love because you can get geared up and slam on down the road, with Instamatic Air conditioning, now don't get me wrong, I can achieve some Air conditioning during mid summer too, it just requires us to be moving a little better then 60 mph, "Heaven Help you at the traffic lights because you cook." Yet clipping along provides a wonderful batch of fresh air for those of us who ride full open (no window glass), although the breeze is great, no windshield simply means look out them bugs is gonna get ya, and we have real doozie size bugs down here in Central Florida, even worse down in South Florida, but I'll get back to that at another time.

We have beautiful sunny sky's today, after a small starter shower that, yep wouldn't you know it ?
I got caught up in this morning. Lovely by the way, I call it liquid Sun shine, everyone just giggles when they ask me what's it like to ride in the rain? and I simply say, hey you just have to convince yourself to slow down and watch the road conditions and either hope you packed the rain suit, and or just finally realize your gonna get wet and get over it.

The breeze here today is bringing us some fantastic almost Hawaii like weather here today, the trade winds are blowing about 8 knots, so this can stress your ride out, but really with 82 degree weather and absolutely clear Sunny sky's if our not on your bike today , well you're missing it!

Make it a Great Day Folk's!

"STITCH" AND "PUFF" RIDE AGAIN.

"STITCH" AND "PUFF" RIDE AGAIN.

Today is a stellar day as, my bud and long time friend C. Lanter and I are back to riding together again. Last night late, I banged on his door for over 35 minutes, until he brought his sorry butt to the door to answer it, when he swung the door open to see who it was he couldn't believe it was me.
After a few minutes for the haze to clear in his head from sleep, he realized who he was talking too, and then got up came over and threw his big ole arms around me and gave me such a big bear hug and at the same time he said , man have I missed you "BROTHER", I love you and Colleen and I'm really glad you showed.

Now let me start at the beginning for those of you who are lost. Last April My Baby Boy "Brother"- "STITCH" kiss the ground doing just around 45 mph, he screwed himself up pretty bad and he went back home to Kentucky to "HEAL". Yesterday I got word he moved back to town on Saturday, while I was laid up, so I couldn't shoot over to see him then, but I sure wanted too, you just don't understand, us two are like carbon copies, except he's 10 years younger then I am, and I'm going to repeat myself for the safety sake of saying , "I LOVE HIM BETTER THAN MY REAL BROTHERS". Right before he left for Kentucky, he and I fixed and rebuilt his bike together after the wreck and parked it in his garage, shortly after that, I got word he was leaving, and as I said for me that was just a complete drop heart in the ole chest thing, as I felt lost all this time without him, even my wife said you look totally depressed since "STITCH" left, to make matters worse, his phone got disconnected while he was up there in Kentucky, because his carrier, Metro Piece of Crap, I meant metro PCS, hadn't enough towers to keep his phone activated, so I went 8 months with nothing from the closest "MALE" friend I've ever had.
Needless to say I was very depressed, it hurt a lot, now don't get me wrong, I'm not putting my feelings out there for some kind of pity party or anything like that, I just want you all to know of the depth of our relationship, our motto is : ride together, drink together, travel together, enjoy life while we can, all while having the best bikes on the planet, our "Harley's".

"Stitch" rides an 06 Harley Soft Tail, and I of course am still riding my 03 Low Rider,  physical back pain permitting, but when we're riding together and we have those bikes in sink next to each other the harmonics coming from his set of pipes and also out of my custom pipes, the two of them sound fantastic going down the road, we usually can not stop smiling because those bikes sound so great together.

Now that he's back in town and we're back together again the two stooges ride again!

Just know I've missed you immensely, and look forward to many exciting trips and travels aboard our bikes.

Love you "Baby Brother" I'm so happy your back home in Florida where you belong.
Amen,Amen, Amen!
The Trouble Team is back together once more, may we have many more years of friendship and family& fun. Love you "BROTHER".

Road side assistance Provided by a Lawn Mower repair man!

Roadside assistance provided by a lawn mower repair man!

So, yesterday I go to the doctors office and I ride with my "CANE" on board, well the wife called off from work to go with me to those  appointments. So Stupidly enough we get there at the doctors office and the wife had trouble getting my cane to release from the bag that holds it to my luggage rack. Quickly (NOT) I jumped into action, and got off the bike and helped her to remove the cane, well in doing so, I forgot to turn my bike off and remove the key, well you guessed it, we went into the doctors office and there the bike sat with key in the ignition and power on,now the appointment wasn't that long, but yet when we were about to leave a fella who had just came in asked me if I was on the bike that was outside and I said yes, well he then said , hey your lights are on, I just wanted you to know that because I don't want your battery running dead. Well the wife hurried out and turned off the bike and brought in the key. I waited to finish up at the doctors and we scooted of on our way. We got out to the bike and I stowed my cane and I keyed the ignition and "BAM" nothing, she was dead, no battery left to even click the ignition over.

Being as this happened to me one other time, I figured just give the bike a push get her rolling and drop the clutch into first forcing the engine to turn over. Now I've done this in extreme cases only and we've only did this one other time. Keep in mind folk's, I'm a full fledge member of "H.O.G"- Harley Owners Group, a benefit of having "Roadside Assistance" which I totally forgot about, they bring you gas, food, and a jump for your battery if you go out or have trouble with your bike on the road.

Now I will admit to forgetting that I had this service available to me, but hey I'm on some pretty strong meds which has me forgetting a lot of things as of late, but I sure could of used that yesterday, thankfully my wife spotted a guy coming out of the Gym next door who owned a "LAWN MOWER REPAIR" mobile service. My wife then asked if he could give us a hand and I explained that we tried the old push and dump the clutch trick a couple of times to try and get the bike started but no luck. The Fella then said don't worry I have an old mower battery and jumper cables I'll have you going in a jiffy, sure enough we removed the seat from my bike to access the battery and jump the bike off and she started right up no worries.

The Man left without me being able to show my gratitude, so I'm going to give him a huge shout out on my Blog and hopefully you guys out there in cyber land will know this guy is great, and be able to get him some business, it's the very least I can do for the guy who saved us a big amount of headaches yesterday. The Name of the repair service is:

"REELMAN"
Mobile Lawnmower Repair
Clermont, Florida, 34711

Owners name is : John Nussbaumer
ph#: 352-243-6177
Cell#: 352-978-1904

Great guy, and great person for helping us out that is for sure, I certainly hope that if any of you in the area have problems with your lawn mowers, I certainly hope you call this guy first, as he truly helped us out and has one great attitude on life .

"RELIEF", it comes in many forms.

Relief it comes in many forms

Relief it comes in many forms, I only say this, as yesterday I went to one of my scheduled Doctors appointments and got answers to questions that have been plaguing me since my first back surgery in 2004.
Now I know most of you are thinking what could this guy have possibly found out that gives him the sense of relief. Well, in a nut shell this new Doctor I have is not only willing to get my back fixed properly this time, but he's willing to answer my actual questions in ways not done before, the other doctors I had simply either flat out wouldn't answer my questions, and or they'd make up some dumb ass excuse to go forward without even answering me.

Now most of you know that I don't often throw out referrals and things like that, but if you have back pain and trouble functioning such as I do, and you live in and or near the Clermont Florida Area, then may I suggest that you look up:

THE SPINE AND SCOLIOSIS CENTER
1925 DON WICKHAM DRIVE
CLERMONT, FLORIDA, 34711
(352) 242- 2826
1-800-89-9515

Doctors:

Joseph C. Flynn Jr., M.D> My Doctor (SMILING)
&
Javier A Placer , M.D > My  other Doctor as well ( SMILING)

Now I don't want to brag, but it is as I said, these guys have helped me tremendously, and are putting some very ruff times behind me thanks to them.
Thank you "LORD" for answering my prayers of finding a "REAL" doctor, one who really wants to help you get better not just pump you full of pills and expect you to keep living your life that way.
Today even though I'm on some pretty ruff scripts for my Back and functioning for me is very limited, what I can do now is much more than I've done in 8 years thanks to Doctor Flynn and his very competent staff.
I thank you so much for giving me back my life.

I quote my second oldest Brother Gregory when I speak of most Doctors here in Florida who run Pain Management clinic's:

" BUTCHERS WARE WHITE COATS TOO"

Most of them just want to hook you on some pretty potent drugs and watch you wither away and die, well I decided that I would not get caught up in that process, and I just don't follow that theory at all, I want to get better and function in some capacity, not just be some drugged up potatoe on the couch all day. This is what the Doctors in the past have done too me, they've drugged me up so bad that most times just getting up and outta bed was an effort, now with help from the doctors at "The Spine and Scoliosis Center", I'm up and moving around again, not by much, but feeling much better these days then the past 8 years since my last surgery, and that speaks realms to me.
I hope if you have back issues, and live near by, that you check these guys out they are fantastic.

As always,

MAKE IT A GREAT DAY FOLK'S!

Direct Insurance is a bunch of Lying Scammers!

"DIRECT INSURANCE" is a Lying bunch of scammers:

A while back I posted that yes my baby "PUFF" , got smacked again, this time in the left flank of the bike and did about 3200 in damages, last night I get a phone call from the young ladies insurance company "DIRECT AUTO INSURANCE", I 'll withhold the agents name, but she left me this quickie Message:

Hello,

I'm calling today to let you know we've mailed your 1700.00 check out today and that is what was reasonable quote for the damages as the estimater was out on Monday of this past week the 15th, to estimate the damages on my bike, they said the guy who did the estimate was there at 10:30am, Funny, But if you'll scroll back through my posts, you'll realize that my Wife and I just spent our 28th wedding anniversary in Daytona beach and we didn't get home until late Tuesday, so now? how did they do the estimate on my bike, that wasn't even home? Nice batch of bullshit there "DIRECT AUTO INSURANCE", Kiss my ass and try and lie to someone who doesn't see right through your bullshit.

Good luck dealing with my Attorney, as I'm done, and your deffinately done speaking to me.

I just figured everyone might like to know just how much Auto Insurance companies try and screw you, their fine with you while they are taking payments from you, but claim against them, and they back peddel like the worst lying "F"ck's I've ever delt with.

I hope they have deep pockets as my attorney isn't cheap!

Make it a Great Week Folk's!

"BIKETOBERFEST" YA BAby!~

"BIKETOBERFEST" YA Baby!~

Even though getting together with the old gang from Buffalo Wild wings last night was fun, it kinda sucked having to drive there in the truck, but yet I didn't mind too much as I was able to have a couple of beers something I normally don't do while out on the bike as I do not and will not operate my bike under the influence of Alcohol, other things questionable? maybe but I will never drink and drive, being on my bike this time of year is dangerous enough without throwing that factor in.
Now don't get me wrong, if you feel you can have a few beers and get on your scooter and blast, then that's up to you, just know that the check books closed and I'm done sending flowers and showing up to funerals where, people I care about who didn't heed the words of "Hey better sit a while" you're kinda messed up. Unfortunately we've all been in that situation, why back in 2010, someone who was and I repeat was, very close to me showed up for my Birthday at Buffalo Wild Wings, well needless to say the birthday boy left totally straight, and the person who had the most fun caused the most damage on Birthday that night because she wouldn't quit drinking and insisted she was leaving, we should of all just left her leave that night, as it wasn't but four months later she crashed and nearly died. Sometimes you've got to wonder why people get on this sudden hell bent for destruction thing and they're life spins out of control as they do. We all would love to be there for those people, and be their safety net, but then I've come to realize that you can't save them all (Philip), so don't even try. So I've locked down our finances, and I'm done preaching to the fools that have to carry on like there is no tomorrow, good luck and "GOD" bless you all. We've kept you alive once, next time find another sucker.

Now onto the Biketoberfest announcement, I was hoping this year to get over to Biketoberfest, and a good friend of mine who owns Sun Viking lodge over in Daytona, says she's still has rooms available so if any of you were looking for a great clean well secured hotel right on the beach to park both you and your scooter, then check the link posted below and call Barbara and her staff and they'll take great care of you.

We will not be attending this year due to damages on my back, which are making life pretty crappy right now, even after a series of three injections directly into the spine at the problematic area, there is still no relief therefore, no long boat riding, local cruises only, and short blasts to the store are the only thing I'm up for now a days, maybe once the old back gets  to feeling better, or even better fixed freaking properly maybe this time? then I can get some ride time in. Until then, I'll keep keeping the dream alive, by going over and cleaning my bike off daily hoping to get back on her one day?

If you're heading over to Daytona this weekend, please be very careful, it's "BLUE HAIR" season and that's cause enough for alarm.

"GREAT DEBATE" that's Debatable?

"GREAT DEBATE" that's Debatable?

Now I didn't want to open the door to politics on my blog, but after a few correspondents I've both exchanged and received replies too, I feel I must chime in already. I will not get up on my soap box and offer any off the wall comments about what I think of this party or that party, but I will go as far as to say, that last nights debate between Romney and Obama, was simply a bunch of over stated posturing, finger pointing, and grandstanding beyond belief.
The fact that they let that dog and pony show even air was total BS. I'm hoping that most true "AMERICANS" saw through that horse crap such as I did last night, the facts are still the facts, we have one standing up saying I can change this, and we have one who said he'd change it four freaking years ago, but needs another four years to right the ship, this coming from someone who can't even approve a budget and has to keep re-signing the current budget so as to not raise the debt ceiling any higher, and look like even bigger a Jack-ass then he already does. Oh, but wait, isn't that their party sign? On the topic of budgets, I have a direct response from Senator Marko Rubio, he says the same thing? why? why? why? can't he step up and make a decision? Below is a copy of that very response from Senator Rubio:

Dear Mr. Dresko,
Thank you for reaching out to me in regard to the state of our nation's economy, the federal budget, and our nation's spending habits. I appreciate hearing your thoughts on these important issues.
On February 13 of this year, President Obama released his budget proposal for Fiscal Year 2013. Unfortunately, the President's plan fails to cut spending in a meaningful way, reduce our overwhelming levels of debt, and makes no attempt to reform our broken tax code and encourage job creation. Spending in the President's plan would reach $3.8 trillion this year and $5.8 trillion per year by 2022, leaving a budget deficit of $1.3 trillion this year alone. Total spending in his budget would reach $47 trillion over the next ten years. A budget proposal like this that does not cut spending is wildly irresponsible given our skyrocketing debt, which has just reached $16 trillion dollars. I am particularly disappointed that the President's budget does not propose any meaningful reforms to our entitlement programs, including Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, which will go bankrupt in the near future unless Congress adopts common-sense reforms to save our safety net.
As you may know, on September 22, 2012, the Senate voted on H.J. Resolution 117, another short-term Continuing Resolution to fund the federal government at current levels for the next six months. After four consecutive years of trillion dollar deficits and a debt that has surpassed $16 trillion, once again, the federal government left one of its most basic duties unfulfilled– the passage of an annual budget. I voted against this short-term continuing resolution because I believe we must address our fiscal irresponsibility and work toward reigning in our spending, reducing our deficit, and reducing our debt burden. Congress has a responsibility to move America out of this mess by charting a fiscally responsible path for the future, starting with a responsible and balanced budget.
I am committed to help change the path our nation is on, and on May 22, I introduced Start up 2.0, S. 3217, alongside Senator Chris Coons, Senator Jerry Moran and Senator Mark Warner. The bipartisan legislation is aimed at jump starting the economy through the creation and growth of new businesses. Start up Act 2.0 creates an environment in which entrepreneurs can succeed. It creates new opportunities for America-educated, entrepreneurial immigrants to remain in the U.S. where their talent and ideas can fuel growth and create American jobs.
Again, thank you for contacting me to share your thoughts on our nation's fiscal future. As Florida's junior Senator, I will keep your thoughts in mind as I work with my colleagues in both parties to enact a responsible budget that addresses the long-term fiscal and economic issues that we face as a nation.

Sincerely,

Marco Rubio
United States Senator

As you can see by Senator Rubio's response he too, is in total shock at this Presidents lack of vision, I simply feel that we can not afford to steal off the back of future generations. Nuff Said!

Applebee's pulls off the save!

Applebee's pulls off the save!

This past weekend was our 28th wedding anniversary and it was a scheduled four day off event of fun and festivities all slated for the coast, but yet, late Thursday night last week, my back and legs kept me awake all night long, so that Friday came and our weekend together was shot, we were forced to stay in land and stay at the homestead for some well needed rest, now keep in mind that means I relax on the couch and try to get muscle spasms to stop from killing me while Colleen bounces around doing the potting and replanting of some of our tropical landscape we've undertook as of recent upgrades in the garden.
Though last night feeling just good enough to get up and travel down to my buds Mitchel's house last night we then ventured from there to the local Applebee's where we ate some pretty tasty Steaks, Coll got the Shrimp and sirloin with almonds and white sauce and Mitchel and I had the Cipolte Steak and shrimp combos, awesome food great place, about 15 minutes out the front gates of Disney on 192 heading west towards Clermont is the location we partied at last night. The service was fantastic and the we had a blast, it was great to catch up with uncle Mitchy. Oh just a little tip for those of you who sit outside waiting for a table, you can eat at the bar too, better service, kinda a one on one thing... Hint Hint! we walked right in like we owned the place and it was at 7:00pm peak dinner hour and people were already sitting outside waiting for a table. too funny, who does that anymore right?

So Four days of nursing myself back to what seemed to be pretty decent shape, I'm readying for the departure to get the Misses over to the Mouse House, when low and behold the ride from work pulls up UN-expectantly, and gives her a ride into work. Bonus! for me, as I didn't have to ride in all that fog this morning, and even though there the same back roads we've traveled over the past few years, things can look a whole heck of a lot different out there when your stuck in Florida "FOG". Can I get an Amen!

Lovely Time of year.

Lovely Time of Year.

With Cooler air moving in for the season we have dryer air right behind it which makes for some great cruising, Colleen and I got out last night for a bit , we did what we like to call the lake run and we do a huge figure 8 around a couple of the lakes right by the house then head back, it's an amazing ride through areas marked as low as 10mph.
Keep in mind this is "LAKE " county, and so properly named, as we're surrounded by those very lakes which like I said previously, the scenic Hwy, as it's known is fantastic right before sunset.

Even though the weekend out at the coast was postponed, the weekend inland was fantastic as well. Rest sometimes is best.

So the Cooler air begins!

So the cooler air begins!

Next week starts the kick off to "BIKETOBERFEST", and yes we plan on trying to make it out this year, but nothing is put in stone as of yet due to the fact that my legs are going nuts again, with the one day I can feel them, and the next day not so much. So, riding that far out from Clermont right now may be just a little tricky. One can never tell the kinda ride ones in for when you have major cramping going down both your legs. Enough to make it feel like someones trying to peel your legs like banana's ripping their fingers into you down to the bone at the top of your thighs, and then ripping them downward to the ground, now those are leg cramps for ya folk's, those are the kind that hurt so bad, that the whole experiance leaves bruising behind, nice right? Well welcome to my world.
I swear if another person tells me to eat more potassium I'm gonna burst, you see the problem is not a chemical deficiency, but yet a major lump of scar tissue that reformed after my back surgery in 2004, which is now pressing on both S1 & S2 nerve branches going down both my legs, at times that scar tissue inflames and really gets at chocking off those nerves which you guessed it, kills my ability to use my legs all at once, so ya, riding a motorcycle can get a little tricky when this occurs, but I usually feel the cramping coming on, and I'm able to pull over fast enough to get them to behave and on with the ride I go. Unless it's a real bad day where I can not even move, and I've got plenty of those under my belt already. "BACK PROBLEMS" is something I wouldn't even wish on my enemies , as this is one heck of a thing to deal with.
As for the cooler air, that too brings on a realm of other problems plaguing us with back issues, as the cold or cooler air effects how you do things as well, so many factors to consider when you have one and only one thing on your mind, living life, but it's made so difficult by the persistent problems of "BACK PAIN".

Funny How things have CHANGED.

Funny how things have Changed.

Well for some, day to day living keeps grinding away, and their lives spin past them at such a hurried rate they haven't a clue how 20+ years blink by.
We rush from birth to walk, to talk, to understand, hurried to schooling, hurried through schooling, rushed right into a career, then rushed into a family, then well you get the point, at what point do we say hey, lets live in the now, and forget trying to rush through our days. Just a thought, perhaps slowing down won't be so bad, may put red bull out of business, but hey, will some of us really miss that ?

I'd love for my back to be right, so I could get out in this lovely Sun and go fishing, but  as it stands right now , I had major cramping in my legs on Thursday and that kept me up all night then Friday was our Anniversary, which was pretty much a wash, since I couldn't go anywhere due to my legs , so ya, most people would of been bothered by the fact that their plans for a wonderful Anniversary weekend out at the coast fell through, but not us, we'll make the best of it, this I'm sure of.

Dryer air means cruisin time!

">Dryer Air means it's cruisin time! Well after a long waited sign of dryer weather, which this weekend is supposed to be perfect, I want to let everyone in on this weekends little 28th wedding anniversary secret. I't s gonna be a trip to Daytona for some well needed Rest time, even though it's only going to be for 4 whole days out there, sometimes that's all you need it to get away for a couple of days in order to recharge your batteries, so in essence, we're going to make a dual trip outte this one, relax and unwind and get ready fro this up coming Holiday Season, with Christmas right around the corner and Turkey Day fast approaching, it's time to get those plans in stone so that we know what we are doing for the Holidays.

I look forward to being back in Daytona for the weekend, as I'm excited to see how the new resurant and pier is doing. As well as getting a writing assignment out of the way, and sometimes "Beach" time is the only thing that can cure the emptiness inside. I long to be on the worlds oceans and every day I have here on Land reminds me of that fact.

So My plans are still very general as I don't want to give up to much until we go and experiance it for ourselves.

Make it a Great Day Folk's!
