Heavy Onset of "SUNSHINE' is in the forecast..
Heavy Onset of "SUNSHINE" is in the forecast....
One of many of the reasons I love living here in Florida in general is the amount of sunny days we have here. I love the rains too don't get me wrong, but this rain season we are starting to break from was one of those that were on record that is for sure. I'm truly looking forward to this up and coming weekend as that marks my 28th year of blissful marriage, BTW I want a "D", no, I'm just kidding we've had our times, but it's been a great ride. I hope to have 28 more with her as well. Now back to the weather for this coming weekend. They are calling for some chilly over night temps in the mid to lower 60's with day time temps in the 80's, so that is gonna be great for what I have planned for this weekend. Stay tuned as I'll give up more on this weekends plans as it draws closer.
Two important dates to remember are this weekends "TOYS FOR TOTS" run to ST. Augustine and back with overnight stay in Daytona for the pre- Biketoberfest kick-off, Watch as the vendors set up shop and over take "DAYTONA BEACH FLORIDA", the prep, is as much fun to watch as the bikers that come from all over. Hint, Hint...
The other is the "Cystal River Cruise In" is back on, dates to be posted later, check for their web site for dates and times.

When Ones own mortality comes to call..........
WHEN ONES own Mortality comes to call.........
I always wondered if I'd be faced with this one day, and what, and if I'd be prepared for it, well here it is in a nut shell folk's, as many of you know, I've had back issues since breaking my back in 2004.
As recent as April, my back started giving me fits all over again and caused me to schedule some doctors visits as well as schedule in some of those dreaded "PAIN MANAGEMENT" , Steroidal Shots that yes, are making the news daily for being infected with "Meningitis".
So far there are 90 known cases of infected folk's, and 7 people who have already lost their lives over this none sense.
To me this is especially creepy considering I just completed a series of these very same shots last week Thursday, and I'm not going to tell you I'm just peachy over this whole thing, are there not regulations in the food and Drug administration that back check this and stop this kinda thing from taking place?, or is it that someone is trying to get rid of a certain population, you know the ones I'm talking about? The ones who have no where else to turn because their stuck with a huge amount of pain and no one will operate on them because it's just not bad enough again yet.
Needless to say I'm thinking I'll stick to my regiment of not doing a thing in order to preserve my back this time.
These shots just aren't worth death sorry, or even worse a crippling degenerative diesese.
Pier Crawl this weekend! Any body in?

"DISNEY" Birthday Bash!
Nikon D5100 16.2MP Digital SLR Camera with AF-S DX Nikkor 18-55mm f/3. (Google Affiliate Ad)
Yesterday was the day I picked to shock my wife into thinking I actually forgot her birthday this year, fortunately for her I'm quite the practical joker and just around 4:30 in the afternoon I asked her if she'd like to ride on over to our favorite sandwich shop down the road form us a piece and catch a sandwich and a nice little ride?
Now to most of you, you'd be thinking , WOW how nice "CHEAP SKATE", but believe it or not the wife and I are pretty simple living folk's and that would of been birthday celebration enough I due believe on her behalf, but thankfully I'm not through with this story , oh no not yet , not yet at all.
You see the closer we got to taking the turn we needed too take in order to arrive at our favorite sandwich shop the more I had to think up an excuse for going the other way which lead us to our "Real" destination, which was "Disney's Fort Wilderness Lodge", needless to say the turn came and went and before you knew it we were arriving at the lodge. Now many ask from Clermont about how far away is that?, and it was exactly 22 miles there.
Once at "Disney's Fort Wilderness Lodge" ,we took a small pathway which lead us down by the seven sea's lagoon and eventually down to "Trails End Cafe ", our "Real " Destination for this evenings dining experience.
Dining wise, yes it's a buffet and yes I said it, it's a "BUFFET", but this one is Disney's version which they put the "DOWN HOME FAMILY STYLE COOKING" on it which included: BBQ Spare Ribs, server sliced Ham, Beef and chicken, all kinds of down home southern BBQ sides, like old fashioned mac and cheese, as well as the freshest of garden veggies. They also served full bar liquor here, but because we were out on the bike we had to behave, so it was the best of the best "SWEET TEA", ya Baby! Sorry forgot to mention the fact they put on one heck of a spread when it comes to desserts as well, Bravo, very nicely done Disney, thank you for making dinner such a hit that never gets old.
Now from dinner we caught a wonderful carriage ride in the woods, from there, we caught the river boat over to the Contemporary, and boarded the Monorail to our next destination which was the Polynesian Resort, we arrived there and headed down stairs from the monorail to the Beach front bordering Seven sea's lagoon, where nightly the resort guest are treated to beach front movies in the best of the best lounge chairs, but wait a minute we weren't guests you say?, that's right< we crashed it , but really folk's, we were there for the Fireworks from the Magic Kingdom.
Looking directly due East from the Poly's Beach front is one of the most "Romantic" places to catch the "WISHES" fireworks presentation from Disney's Magic Kingdom, the reflection of the fireworks across the water, along with all the resorts speakers playing the whole show as it airs at the kingdom, so not only do you see the show from the Poly's beach head, but you hear it as well, now tell me that wasn't a great way to top a night out for your birthday?
The ride home was all back roads, and all in the dark, but I was comfortable taking that trip as it's been done so routinely that it was made to be simple.
Thank you "Disney" for helping me spoil my wife again for her birthday this year.
and again , "HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY LOVE".

Feeling a Bit "FROGGY" this morning!
Feeling a bit "FROGGY" this morning!
Yesterdays rains to the area washed out many a bike event all over the Orlando and surrounding areas. Why even we had over 5 inches of rain here, and out at my son's they got 6.5 inches of rain.
I heard a few desperate souls on their Harley's, trying to get home get before the madness started, but wow what a storm I pray they made their destinations without too much a mishap.
We live directly down the street from a Sub Station first responder fire rescue, and they were quite busy last night as well, the noise got a little much at times, but none as bad as our little visitor last night.
Yep bad enough I get kept up all night by the most horrible leg cramps, but last night during the rains I actually dosed off several times, only to be awoken by the sounds of a "Florida Tree Frog", now don't get me wrong, I've got good windows, and I don't let the sounds of nature bother me one bit, except for last night, because this little "FROG" was doing his or her darnedest to keep everyone awake.
At one point in time I actually got out of bed and went to the back of the house where the patio is and found this little "Frog" sitting on my wife's plant shelf, as I turned the light on to the patio, it didn't even budge, it just sat there croaking away. Lucky for it , we love all "God's " Critters, so I left it be, but man what a noisy little thing, and this frog had the most amazing colors I've ever seen in a Tree Frog, I looked it up on the net and the picture on the computer didn't do this thing Justice.
Needless to say, it's going to be a two pot of coffee kinda day for me I just know it!

It's Raining so hard here right now!
It's Raining so hard here right now!
Wow it's rainging so hard here right now, that I can not even see our back field through the living room window, the sky is black and there is lightening dancing all around. This just blows my mind, because not even twenty minutes ago the skies were blue and the sun was out in it's fullest.
I know, I know, give it ten minutes it will change, Typical Floridian saying there, because this ripped in like a whopper, as I type the neighbors patio set is now flying over into our yard and weirdly enough here comes the Sun out too, what a crazy mix. Man I love Florida!
Well, looks like it's time to put on the old rain gear and go battle the storm ravaged roads so I can go pick up my sweety. Nice combo, Rain gear and sun block! Too Funny!

It's HUmp Day!
It's Hump Day!
Yes we've finally made it to this par of the week where the weekend is in sight and we just may make it through yet another difficult life as a Gimp.
People don't even realize that a 'Back Injury" such has happened to me, pretty much ends your life as you know it, and here is why I say this?
1.) You can no longer function in the capacity you did before, which for me was primary wage earner, Now I'm the most UN employable man on the planet.
2.) Too Young according to Social Security to collect that benefit even though I paid 26 years into that program, for just such an instance, but because their piss poor broke they won't approve my application for SS.
3.)NO longer to care for yourself, due to the medications they have you on to combat the pain, makes you into a zombie, more or less here in physical body, but gone as far as the mind goes.
4.) No more friends or Family, as they are the first to hit the exit's when you get hurt as they figure they don't want to be dragged down by you, or worst of all have you ask them for a favor or money or something.
5.) no more physical activities that you used to enjoy such as, Basket Ball, Golf, Soccer, Football, Fishing, Or any other type of fun you'd thought of having as that's over now the body just won't support these activities.
6.) No real Family life as your too busy just trying to survive this injury let alone show anyone affection of any kind due to the medication as well.
7.) Anti Social Behavior kicks in over drive, as the seclusion from the meds kicks in.
8.) you pretty much walk around pissed off all the time, because of the above listed 7 things, but don't you know that society wants you to just spring right back and get your ass right back into work, but here lies the rub. WITH A BROKEN BACK INJURY WITH ACCOMPANIED SURGERY, NO ONE, AND I REPEAT ONE WILL HIRE YOU, and here is why they won't, they except the responsibility if something at their job causes your back injury to worsen or even fails all together, this then makes you their responsibility, so you're wondering why you can not find a job?, well there is your answer, your too much a liability, but yet not enough of one to be covered by the wonderful assholes at "SOCIAL SECURITY", who, over and over again, tell me I'm too young to be covered, yet I know of five count them FIVE persons who are under the age of 32 who are on Social Security for the exact same reason, and they got covered, oh and they worked maybe on average about 8 years in their lifetime, so go figure I work 26 years and pay huge sums of money into the system, yet these rejects that can't even hold a job, get tapped out what a crock of shit!, the system here is definitely broken here folk's, not just my back that is for sure.
So there it is in a nut shell, this will be my fight and this is what has been layed on my table to battle everyday, but yet everyone and I repeat everyone , wants to know why I'm so UN happy and why I'm so angry all the time, well there it is folk's out there for the whole world to see.
I said it, and I'll say it again to be clear, "SOCIAL SECURITY" is a F@@king Sham, and they can all rot in hell for as far as I'm concerned.
