Remnants of Hurricane Sandy are behind us.

Remnants Of Hurricane Sandy are behind us.

Like Andrew when he hit Miami back in the late 90's, "Sandy" was the most destructive storm that hit the New York and New Jersey areas. Now with massive power outages and food shortages and everything else that goes hand in hand with dealing with a storm of that magnitude, both New York and New Jersey are going to need mega outside help just like those people that were in Miami when Andrew hit, so many organizations came to the rescue and I'd be surprised today that the same thing doesn't occur up there in New York, and New Jersey.  Keep in mind that when giving to charitable organizations, that you should ask them directly where it is your money is going, as most of them keep 20% for themselves, and the rest goes to the charitable event. So when making payments out ask?is this money I'm donating going to help those in need in the New York and New Jersey areas?, and if the even think about stuttering, then, move on, and find a "REAL" charitable organization that is directing those funds directly to those areas hardest hit by the storm.

FEMA, as far as I'm concerned , they too, so dropped the ball once again, their readiness pre storm practices sucked, and they did nothing in assisting the hospital staff and others to evacuate that area? So I say again, why is our government dumping huge wads of cash there, because they can write it off, and there is no checks and balances for that organization, so why do we even have FEMA?
In the month to follow you'll see what I say is true, someone should audit that department and see the wasteful greed that goes on there. Not to mention how many jokers out there put in bogus claims so that makes FEMA's Job even harder, but yet I'd still call for an audit if it were up to me.

Today, "Sandy" here in Florida, is just a memory, my memory of her is the last few mornings of 25 mile an hour winds and cold temps like in the 40's for the last few morning has made it real hard to ride in that crap , but Colleen and I pulled it off anyway, I guess if you've been riding as long as we have then you figure out that dressing for the occasion, means so much more to a Biker then it does a debutant.

Make it a Great Day folks'!
