This is the best time to be a rider here in Florida , because the Air in most cases is dry and well tempered, why this week alone our day time highs are predicted to be in the 80's so Yeah! to that is what I say.
Our migratory friends the "SAND HILL" Cranes, birds that fly in yearly here around mid November, and stay until the end of May usually, unless they have little ones, then they stay until the little ones can fly which is about mid September.
They all seem to be adjusting to the new neighbors as well, each one have their own case of those "BIRDS" going on, my wife and I love them, our neighbors hate them, oh well to each there own is what I say.
In fact the two that hang around by us, my wife and I named them "Hildy and Sandy", Mommy is Hildy, and the baby is Sandy, get it? there sand hill cranes, great play on their names right?
We enjoy hand feeding them as that is how much they trust us, I don't do it all the time so as to not get them accustom to it, as well as the fact I can't always bend over, but I do have fun with them while we're out feeding them after our coffee.
Here are a couple of pictures of Hildy and Sandy, both the wife and I feeding them.
Too cute they are right?
Make it a Great Day Folk's!
