Here is a prime example of just how F**ked up our government agencies really are, and we wonder so often as I do exactly why?
Well I'm going to give you an example of just how bad it is here in America. I've been fighting a battle with "Social Security" to get benefits from them that in my 26 and half long year career as a Diesel Technician, I've been paying into this bullshit con game called "SOCIAL SECURITY".
Back in 2004 I broke my back in an industrial accident, and it was ruled just that, but needless to say I totally blew out my back in the lower lumbar region. This was in June of 2004, they waited until November of 2004 to actually do something about it, and sent me in for surgery which the surgery went well according to the physician I had at the time. 28 days later I wound up going in to see that doctor with worse pain then when I went into have the original surgery for.
It was determined after a series of CT scans, and MRI's with contrast, that I had a huge lump of "SCAR Tissue" grown in over the area that I had surgery on and this "SCAR TISSUE" was pressing directly in S1, the region of nerves that control the feeling of your right leg and hip and Ass , for lack of a better term.
They being the doctors, also determined that there was nothing more that they could do for me other than push me over to a Doctors office called a "PAIN MANAGEMENT CLINIC", because they could not open me back up and get the scar tissue removed from my back, only because they couldn't guarantee it wouldn't grow right back.
Keeping in mind this lump of scar tissue is pressing on S1, which causes me pain to an extent I can only describe as my leg feels as if the tissue is being ripped off the bone from my upper thigh all the way down to the tips of my toes. This is a constant state of pain which I'm in every moment of every day....
So back to them pushing me to the pain management clinic, these guy's take more pictures of my back both CT scans and MRI's, and determine also I have degenerative disk dieses, along with spinal stenosis, which will intern eventually start breaking down the other lumber disks as well. These doctors put me on a regiment of "PAIN MANAGEMENT" medications which makes me after taking them feel like a zombie. I'm now a great couch potato, as that's pretty much it for me, I go from bed to couch to bed as my daily regime. So doped up on pain killers and other meds that my functioning isn't much.
Yet here is that great and powerful system of the government that I paid 26 and a half years into telling me that I'm just fine, and that I need to go back to work, that I'M NOT "BROKEN ENOUGH "FOR THEM TO PAY ME OUT. This of course baffle's the living shit out of me, and here's the real kicker, I had to hire and attorney to help me receive funds that I've paid so long into a total bullshit system for, in order for me to receive funds, but don't you know they of course are going to take 1/3 of those funds I paid into that system in order for helping me fight for those funds? How is it they are getting away with this shit?
Another real kick in the ass, is just the other day I had to go into the Social Security local office to drop off some paper work they needed corrected, so I only took half of my morning meds which meant I was in a shit load of pain, and not in a very good mood, then I had to get a friend to drive me there, because I can't really drive on my medication, as it really wipes me out, whether I only take half doses or if I take the full dose, but anyways, we drove there to the local office and I was forced to sit in a hard plastic chair OH F**king JOY!< and take a number and was forced to wait, like everyone else, well here is the part that really pushed me over the top in believing our Government agencies really need their asses kicked and real bad at that.
I'm quite the personable person, and I strike up conversations quickly. Well sitting next to me was a couple of folks maybe at best in the mid forties if I had to take a guess, and they were from you guessed it "MEXICO", well I said to them both this waiting in hard plastic chairs is for the birds, the husband laughed and said yes it's quite painful for me to even be here, but I had to come today so did my wife, I said ya me too they being "SIOCIALIST SECURITY", required these papers I have in my hand or my case wouldn't go any further with out them, so I was forced to come here. I asked what happened to him and he said well I'm a grove worker, and I was picking the oranges off the trees and I was on the top rung of the ladder I was on and it shifted and I fell to the ground, shattering my ankle, and my wife here saw me falling, so she ran over to try and catch me to break my fall and she broke her shoulder, I then asked out of pure curiosity how long they've been grove workers, and he told me he and his wife only just came from Mexico three months ago, then I asked when the accident happened, and he said just about a month ago, and that they were there at the office to pick up their first checks, and to discuss the terms of their settlement.
About right then I was so pissed off, I was ready to blow a major f**king gasket, just to know that I've been battling this F**king Government agency for over 9 years with a major injury they themselves deemed not important enough to pay me out, but yet these two F**KS, weren't in this country but three F**king months and Yes ,ok, he and his wife sustained injuries while they were working just like myself , but they came from Mexico, and are getting paid out a month after them getting injured here, and I pay into this F**king Government con-artist program for 26 and a half WORKING years, and I can't get help?
This my friends is exactly why this country is so fucked up.
There is no checks and balances for any of these programs.
I've written to the "President" four F**king times, I've written to both our congressmen twice, and I've just finished writing the Governor all with no response , because they themselves don't know how to fix this shit.
People wonder why people go into melt downs and start killing people, this my friends is the reason ,our Government is total bullshit here, and I'm here to tell you we need a total over haul of the whole system.
